This picture was taken at the Punta de Fabian Resort in Baras, Rizal on 19 September 2009 exactly one week before the onslaught of Typhoon Ondoy. The image of serenity is in stark contrast to the devastation brought about by the rains of Ondoy. The resort itself was not spared the destruction. As was my house in Quezon City. But together with my girlfriend, Laiza Tiamson, I picked up the pieces and began anew.
Notwithstanding all the bad things and setbacks that have, and may come our way, we will meet them together and together would look forward to the promise of a new day.
